The Reds have agreed to a one-year, $5.35 million deal with Homer Bailey.
The agreement allowed the two sides to avoid arbitration.
Bailey, who pitched a no-hitter at Pittsburgh last Sept. 28, had asked for $5.8 million and had been offered $4.75 million when players and teams swapped proposed arbitration salaries last month.
The Cardinals announced a three-year contract extension with GM John Mozeliak on Thursday and exercised the 2014 option for manager Mike Matheny, hoping the pair will keep the team contending for a World Series title.
The Reds have agreed to a two-year, $11.5 million deal with Mat Latos.
The agreement allowed the two sides to avoid arbitration.
Latos will receive salaries of $4.25 million this year and $7.25 million in 2014 under Tuesday's deal.
The Mariners and Felix Hernandez have officially reached an agreement on a contract extension.
The deal is expected to make Hernandez the highest-paid pitcher in baseball.
"I think it's a great thing for the Seattle Mariners," Jack Zduriencik said. "It's a great thing for Felix Hernandez, and looking forward to this guy being here for a very long time, obviously."
Hernandez's deal is worth $175 million over seven years, according to a source.
The value was reported last week, but a report surfaced on Sunday that the Mariners were concerned about Hernandez's elbow and declining velocity.
The Indians agreed to terms with Michael Bourn on a four-year, $48 million contract on Monday.
It marks the second major free agent contract that Cleveland has issued this offseason. They signed Nick Swisher to a four-year, $56 million deal in January.
Bourn batted .274 with nine homers, 57 RBIs and 42 steals last season for the Braves. He must pass a physical later this week for the deal to become official.
The Mets were chasing Bourn as well, offering the same $48 million deal as Cleveland, according to a major league source. However, New York wasn't willing to to give up the 11th overall pick in the draft as a penalty for signing the free agent.
The Athletics have reached an agreement with Hideki Okajima on a minor league contract, according to a source.
The contract is pending a physical.
The one-year contract the Cardinals reached with David Freese is worth $3.15 million.
The value of the deal is six times the $518,000 he made in 2012.
Freese hit .283 with 20 home runs and 79 RBIs last season and earned his first All-Star appearance. He was eligible for arbitration for the first time.
The Cubs have officially signed Scott Hairston to a two-year, $5 million contract.
Tony Campana was designated for assignment to make room on the roster.
Hairston batted .263 with 20 homers and 57 RBIs last season with the Mets.
"It gives us a lot of versatility in the outfield, and he's a guy who's proven he can hit left-handed pitching and is one of the best platoon guys in the game," Jed Hoyer said.
"Given that we have a left-handed hitter in [David] DeJesus and a left-handed hitter in [Nate] Schierholtz, Scott should add a nice element for us, and we're excited about that."
The Reds have agreed to a minor league deal with Armando Galarraga, who will try to win a job in spring training.
Galarraga was 0-4 with a 6.75 ERA in five starts last year with the Astros. When he pitched for Houston on July 28, it was his first major league appearance since May 16, 2011, for Arizona.
